About Dr. Wechsler
Robert Wechsler, MD, PHD, FAES, FAAN, is a fellowship-trained epileptologist at Consultants in Epilepsy & Neurology PLLC in Boise, Idaho. He also serves as the medical director at Idaho Comprehensive Epilepsy Center in Boise.
Dr. Wechsler received his Doctor of Medicine from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, formerly known as Finch University of Health Sciences, in North Chicago, Illinois. He also completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in neuroscience at the Chicago Medical School.
Dr. Wechsler completed his residency training in neurology at the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, before relocating to Palo Alto, California, for his fellowship training in epilepsy at the Stanford Comprehensive Epilepsy Program.
Currently chairman of the Epilepsy Foundation of Idaho’s professional advisory board, Dr. Wechsler recognizes the importance of support for those with epilepsy and educating the general public about seizures and epilepsy.
He is passionate about helping people with epilepsy enhance their quality of life by managing their seizures and other symptoms, allowing patients to experience the joys of everyday life without disruptions to work, school, and home routines.
